Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist specializing in obstetrics (OB), abdominal imaging, and small parts examinations. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with accuracy and compassion, supporting physicians in patient diagnosis and treatment while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations in obstetrics, abdominal imaging, and small parts (thyroid, breast, testes, etc.)
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and ensure patient comfort throughout the exam
- Capture and analyze high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any technical issues promptly
- Document findings and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- ARDMS certification in at least one specialty (OB/GYN, Abdomen, or Small Parts)
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound techniques and anatomy
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Multiple ARDMS certifications (OB/GYN, Abdomen, Small Parts)
- Prior experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging center
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Certifications (if any)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) – required
- Additional ARDMS specialty certifications (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
