  • Job Summary
    The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for performing complex laboratory tests to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This role ensures accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of test results while adhering to established laboratory protocols and regulatory standards.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood, tissue, and other body fluids.
    2. Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
    3. Analyze test results and report findings to physicians and healthcare providers.
    4. Ensure compliance with quality control, safety, and regulatory requirements.
    5. Troubleshoot technical issues and perform corrective actions when necessary.
    6. Maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures and patient results.
    7. Collaborate with medical staff to support patient care and clinical decision-making.
    8. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
    2. Valid state license or certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (where applicable).
    3. Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and safety protocols.
    4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Prior experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting.
    2. Familiarity with advanced diagnostic technologies and automated laboratory systems.
    3. Master’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related discipline.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification preferred.
    2. Other specialty certifications (e.g., hematology, microbiology, molecular diagnostics) are a plus.
