JOB SUMMARY This critical need position is for a Labor and Delivery (LD) Nurse responsible for providing high-quality care to patients during labor and delivery. The role requires adherence to established nursing standards and protocols, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and infant.
Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a labor and delivery setting. • Monitor patient vital signs and fetal well-being. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. • Educate patients and their families on labor and delivery processes and postpartum care. • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications • 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Certifications • Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided) • Basic Life Support • Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program
Preferred Qualifications • Bachelors degree in nursing or related field. • Five (5) plus years of recent experience (must have occurred within the last two (2) years) in Labor and Delivery. • One (1) year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two (2) years. • High Risk OB experience.
