  • JOB SUMMARY
    Critical Need for Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) professionals.

    Key Responsibilities
    - Provide direct patient care in the cardiovascular operating room.
    - Assist surgical teams during cardiovascular procedures.
    - Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamics.
    - Administer medications and intravenous fluids as prescribed.
    - Maintain sterile field and adhere to all infection control protocols.
    - Operate and troubleshoot specialized cardiovascular equipment.
    - Document patient care activities accurately and comprehensively.
    - Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members.
    - Respond to emergencies and critical care situations.

    Required Qualifications
    - Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
    - Current RN license in the state of practice.
    - BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
    - ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
    - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting.
    - Proficiency in cardiac surgical procedures and techniques.
    - Experience with cardiopulmonary bypass.
    - Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
    - Strong understanding of sterile technique and operating room safety.
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

    Preferred Qualifications
    - BSN degree from an accredited institution.
    - Experience with complex congenital heart defects.
    - Proficiency in off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCAB).
    - Experience with minimally invasive cardiac surgery.
    - Familiarity with various cardiac pacing devices.
    - Advanced practice certification in cardiovascular nursing.

    Certifications
    - BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
    - ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
