  • Job Summary  
    We are seeking a dedicated Monitor Technician to join our healthcare team. The Monitor Technician will be responsible for continuous observation of patient cardiac rhythms, promptly identifying and reporting abnormalities, and supporting clinical staff in delivering safe and effective patient care.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Monitor patient cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment
    2. Recognize and report arrhythmias or abnormal heart rhythms to nursing staff and physicians
    3. Maintain accurate documentation of patient data and rhythm strips
    4. Ensure proper functioning of monitoring equipment and promptly report issues
    5. Collaborate with nurses and physicians to support patient care plans
    6. Assist with maintaining a safe and organized monitoring environment
    Required Qualifications
    1. High school diploma or equivalent
    2. Completion of a Monitor Technician or EKG training program
    3. Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize cardiac arrhythmias
    4. Effective communication skills to interact with clinical staff
    5. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
    6. Weekends required.
    7. 2 on call shifts per 6 weeks

    Must have skills

    • Previous travel experience working in remote monitoring
    • Telemetry competent
    • Be able to pass basic cardiac rhythm test
    • Need to be able to analyze and interpret heart rhythms
    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Prior experience as a Monitor Technician in a hospital or healthcare setting
    2. Familiarity with electronic medical record systems

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    2. EKG/Telemetry certification (preferred)
