JOB SUMMARY Provides occupational therapy services to patients within the facility to restore function, improve mobility, and promote independence.
Key Responsibilities • Evaluate and treat patients to restore function, improve mobility, and promote independence. • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. • Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care. • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home exercise programs. • Document patient progress and outcomes. • Participate in team conferences and family training.
Schedule / Shift • Day Shift: Typically staffed to support patient care needs. • Night Shift: Not typically staffed.
Required Qualifications • Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license. • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • Weekend flexibility required. • Willingness to work on the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) unit. • Strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills.
Preferred Qualifications • Hospital or IRF experience. • Stroke/neuro experience.
Experience • Experience with evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning. • Experience with adaptive devices and equipment.

EMR / Systems • Meditech
Patient Population • Acute care hospital patients. • Inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) patients.
Unit / Specialty • Occupational Therapy • Rehab Services
Floating / On-Call • May float between acute care and IRF units as needed. • Weekend work is required, with a minimum of one weekend shift per month. Increased weekend flexibility is highly preferred.
