JOB SUMMARY
Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology department responsible for providing direct patient care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Interventional Radiology suite.
- Monitor patient vital signs and condition during procedures.
- Administer medications and provide post-procedure care.
- Document patient care activities accurately and concisely in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.
- Be able to read and interpret telemetry strips and pass required testing.

Schedule / Shift
- Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Shifts will be a combination of 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour durations.
- Primarily day shifts.
- No set day off.
- On-call duties required, including nights, weekends, and one major holiday per schedule period.
- Call back time is thirty (30) minutes.
- On-call rooms are available if required.

Required Qualifications
- Must have Neuro IR/stroke experience.
- Must be able to read telemetry.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.

Experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience required.
- Critical Care experience required.

Skills
- Proficient in Neuro IR and stroke protocols.
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification may be preferred.

EMR / Systems
- Experience with charting systems is expected.

Patient Population
- Adult patients requiring interventional radiology procedures.

Unit / Specialty
- Interventional Radiology (IR).
- Department includes 5 procedure rooms.
- Procedures may involve CT/US.
- Average patient ratio is 1:1, but may see 6-7 patients per day.

Floating / On-Call
- Ability to float to other related units may be expected.
- On-call responsibilities as outlined in Schedule/Shift.
