JOB SUMMARY Responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing CT and X-ray equipment. This role serves a free-standing Emergency Department, ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities - Perform routine CT and Diagnostic X-ray procedures for patients in a free-standing Emergency Department setting. - Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including GE 64 Slice CT, GE Digital X-ray, and GE portable x-ray. - Ensure accurate patient positioning and image acquisition for diagnostic interpretation. - Adhere to all safety protocols and radiation protection standards. - Document patient procedures accurately within the EMR system. - Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Required Qualifications - ARRT Registered Technologist in Radiography (Rad Tech) certification. - South Carolina Certificate of Qualification and Registration in Radiography (SCQRSA) license. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. - Proficient in both CT and Diagnostic Radiology procedures.
Preferred Qualifications - ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT). - Previous experience in a free-standing Emergency Department. - Previous travel experience. - Ability to function well independently in a fast-paced unit. - Adaptable to changing work environments.
