Job Description:

  • JOB SUMMARY
    The Registered Nurse will work 36 hours per week, primarily on the 4 West Comprehensive Medical Unit, with occasional floating to other Med-Surg units including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarders. This is a day shift position (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) with every other weekend required. There is no call requirement. Nurses must be proficient in Epic EMR and possess strong telemetry and/or stepdown experience.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide patient-centered care across various Med-Surg units.
    • Monitor and interpret telemetry data accurately.
    • Document care and assessments using Epic EMR.
    • Respond effectively in emergency situations.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
    • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license (state-specific as per facility requirements).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Minimum of 3 years of current/recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience.
    • Proficiency in Epic EMR (must be documented; no refresher or 1:1 training provided).
    • Ability to read and interpret telemetry (competency test required on day one).
