1. Conduct patient assessments and review medical histories prior to procedures.
2. Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures and provide education regarding treatment plans and expectations.
3. Assist physicians during a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures.
4. Monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, sedation levels, and overall condition throughout procedures.
5. Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and procedural sedation as permitted by organizational policy.
6. Provide post-procedure monitoring, recovery care, and discharge education.
7. Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations and changes in patient condition.
8. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
9. Ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards.
10. Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental activities.

1. Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
2. Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
3. Minimum of one (1) year of acute care nursing experience.
4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
5. Experience with intravenous therapy, patient monitoring, and medication administration.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment.
8. Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
9. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
10. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
2. Previous experience in Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, Critical Care, Emergency Department, PACU, or ICU settings.
3. Experience with procedural sedation and recovery monitoring.
4. Knowledge of vascular access procedures, angiography, embolization, and other IR procedures.
5. Familiarity with radiation safety practices and sterile procedural techniques.
6. Experience with moderate sedation protocols and emergency response procedures.

1. Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
2. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
3. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
4. Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) Certification (preferred).
5. Moderate Sedation Certification (preferred, where applicable).
