Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified RN House Supervisor responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Patient Care Services. This position plays a key role in supporting patient care and nursing staff, especially during off-shifts, weekends, and holidays, while also working closely with the Admitting Office and other departments to ensure seamless hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the operations of Patient Care Services during off-shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Provide administrative and clinical support to the nursing staff in the absence of Clinical Nursing Leadership.
- Collaborate with various departments, including the Admitting Office, to ensure effective patient care.
- Facilitate patient care by interacting with nursing/patient care staff and other hospital departments.
- Ensure patient care is delivered effectively, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Skills Required:
- Ability to read tele strips, perform cardiac drips, and titrate medications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse range of staff and patients courteously and effectively.
- Leadership abilities and the capability to work under pressure in dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in hospital software applications.
- Advanced clinical skills with strong decision-making capabilities.
Experience Required:
- 2+ years of advanced Med/Surg Tele experience.
- Preferred: Critical care nursing experience.
- Preferred: 2+ years of relevant healthcare experience, including progressive leadership responsibilities.
Education:
- Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Required: Active and valid state RN license (in good standing).
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
