Key Responsibilities - Perform diagnostic echocardiograms to assess cardiac structure and function. - Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images. - Prepare patients for echocardiogram procedures and explain the process. - Record and document patient information and test results accurately. - Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Schedule / Shift - 5x8 Hour Days - No Weekends - No Call
Required Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED equivalent. - Successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
Certifications - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent certification in echocardiography is required.
Experience - Previous experience as an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer.
Skills - Proficient in performing various echocardiogram views and techniques. - Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology. - Ability to interpret echocardiogram findings. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
EMR / Systems - Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is preferred.
Patient Population - Adults and/or pediatric patients, depending on facility needs.
