JOB SUMMARY Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician.
Key Responsibilities - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. - Monitor patient vital signs and condition, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professional. - Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers. - Perform basic nursing care, including wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection. - Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans. - Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Schedule / Shift 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM 13-week contract
Required Qualifications - Active Texas LPN/LVN License - BLS Certification
Experience - Experience in a Med-Surg setting is required.

Unit / Specialty Med-Surg Specialty
Patient Population Adults requiring general medical and surgical care.
Floating / On-Call - Expected to float to Med/Renal, Oncology, Med/Surg Tele, CVTS, and Telemetry units. - Weekend shifts are required: 4 weekend shifts within a schedule or 2 full weekends. - Night shift weekend duty includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. - Day shift weekend duty includes Saturday and Sunday days.
