Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to support sterile processing operations and ensure compliance with ANSI/AAMI standards, manufacturer instructions, and company procedures. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in surgical instrument processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment using proper PPE and protocols
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble complex surgical instruments
- Assemble and package instrument trays and sets per guidelines
- Operate washers, sterilizers, and other processing equipment safely and effectively
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage prior to packaging
- Document missing or damaged instruments per SOPs
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and inventory levels
- Perform daily computer tasks and paperwork related to processing and tracking
- Monitor and maintain instrument and supply inventory levels
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of sterilization equipment
- Keep workstations and decontamination areas clean and organized
- Adhere to company quality standards and infection control procedures
- Communicate effectively with internal team members and operations staff
- Provide feedback and suggest workflow improvements
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain certifications and competencies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (e.g., CRCST, CIS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Two years of hands-on experience in sterile processing, including decontamination, assembly, and sterilization procedures

- Experience with laboratory or hospital equipment maintenance
