  • Job Summary  
    We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to support sterile processing operations and ensure compliance with ANSI/AAMI standards, manufacturer instructions, and company procedures. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in surgical instrument processing.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment using proper PPE and protocols
    2. Disassemble, clean, and reassemble complex surgical instruments
    3. Assemble and package instrument trays and sets per guidelines
    4. Operate washers, sterilizers, and other processing equipment safely and effectively
    5. Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage prior to packaging
    6. Document missing or damaged instruments per SOPs
    7. Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and inventory levels
    8. Perform daily computer tasks and paperwork related to processing and tracking
    9. Monitor and maintain instrument and supply inventory levels
    10. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of sterilization equipment
    11. Keep workstations and decontamination areas clean and organized
    12. Adhere to company quality standards and infection control procedures
    13. Communicate effectively with internal team members and operations staff
    14. Provide feedback and suggest workflow improvements
    15. Participate in ongoing training to maintain certifications and competencies
    16. Perform other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications
    1. High school diploma or equivalent
    2. Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (e.g., CRCST, CIS)
    3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    4. Two years of hands-on experience in sterile processing, including decontamination, assembly, and sterilization procedures

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Experience with laboratory or hospital equipment maintenance
    2. Strong communication and teamwork skills

    Certifications (if any)
    • CRCST or CIS certification (required)
    • BLS certification (required)
