Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Radiographer to perform advanced radiographic imaging and fluoroscopy examinations in a variety of settings, including surgery, trauma, and pediatrics.
This role requires expertise in operating radiology equipment, assisting physicians with specialized imaging procedures, and maintaining equipment and records.
The ideal candidate will also serve as a resource and mentor for students and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate standard and portable radiology equipment to perform diagnostic and fluoroscopy studies, including intravenous pyelography, cystography, gastrointestinal series, and body section radiography.
- Assist physicians with specialized imaging procedures and troubleshoot equipment and film output issues.
- Act as a resource and preceptor for other radiographers and students.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills in modalities such as Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or Special Procedures.
- Maintain records, inventory, and equipment for the assigned area.
- Prioritize assignments and assess, treat, and care for patients of all ages.
- Communicate technical information to patients or their guardians effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of diagnostic radiography techniques and operation of radiographic equipment.
- Proficiency in assessing and caring for patients of varying ages.
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited cardiovascular specialty program or JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program.
- Current ARDMS, ARRT, and/or CCI credentials in the cardiovascular or radiologic specialty required by the hiring department.
- Valid AHA BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of full-time experience as a certified or registered professional in a cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty.
- Associate’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
