  • Job Summary  
    The Registered Nurse – High Risk Antepartum provides specialized care for patients with high-risk pregnancies. This role assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivers competent nursing care, documents patient responses, assists physicians with examinations and procedures, and ensures safe administration of medications and treatments. The nurse interacts with patients and families to share care plans, provide education, and coordinate referrals as needed.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
    2. Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
    3. Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
    4. Obtain and monitor physiological data, observing patient conditions and intervening when necessary.
    5. Administer medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products.
    6. Deliver patient care competently and safely.
    7. Communicate care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge.
    8. Inform patients and families of hospital procedures.
    9. referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
    10. Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate.

    Required Qualifications
    • One year of nursing experience.
    • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
    • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
    • Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
    • ACLS certification required upon hire.
    • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required upon hire.
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required upon hire.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing from a board-approved program.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Required: RN License, BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, Neonatal Resuscitation Program.
    2. Preferred: None specified.
