Job Summary
The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient patient care delivery. This role involves assisting with patient rooming, discharges, point-of-care testing (POCT), and supporting neurosurgery department operations. Compassion, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients and prepare them for clinical evaluation
- Discharge patients following provider instructions
- Perform point-of-care testing (POCT) accurately and efficiently
- Support neurosurgery department workflows and patient care needs
- Maintain compliance with orientation, training, and annual competency requirements
Required Qualifications
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA)
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program
- Minimum of 2 year of experience in a clinical setting
- Basic computer skills

- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Education
