JOB SUMMARY
Assists with the coordination of care for patients in the endoscopy department. Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment and supplies and may assist in performing invasive endoscopic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides various service-related activities to the delivery of direct and assistive patient care in the endoscopy service of the operating room prior to and during any endoscopic procedure.
• Adept at establishing and maintaining sterile fields, ability to pull cases, and capable of assisting for endoscopy procedures.
• Knowledge of sterilization concepts and methods, aseptic techniques, and endoscopy instruments.

Schedule / Shift
• 4 Days - 10 Hours
• In time varies 6 AM - 8 AM based on caseload.

Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience required.
• BLS required (AHA only).

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience working in the Operating Room or Endoscopy Unit preferred.
• GI Tech experience preferred.
• GI certification from SGNA Associates preferred.

Experience
• At least 2 years of experience required.
• Previous experience working in the Operating Room or Endoscopy Unit preferred.
• GI Tech experience preferred.
