  • Job Summary
    The Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse is responsible for providing immediate, high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing acute illnesses, injuries, trauma, and life-threatening medical conditions. The RN utilizes critical thinking, rapid assessment skills, and evidence-based practices to stabilize patients, coordinate treatments, and ensure optimal outcomes in a fast-paced emergency care environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care using established triage protocols.
    • Administer medications, intravenous therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed.
    • Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in clinical status.
    • Assist physicians with emergency procedures, trauma care, and resuscitation efforts.
    • Operate and monitor cardiac monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and other critical care equipment.
    • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
    • Document patient assessments, interventions, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
    • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
    • Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards.
    • Participate in emergency preparedness and quality improvement initiatives.
    Required Qualifications
    1. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
    2. Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
    3. Minimum of one (1) year of Emergency Department, Trauma, Critical Care, or Acute Care nursing experience preferred.
    4. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
    5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
    6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    7. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    • Experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center.
    • Experience caring for trauma, pediatric, cardiac, and critically ill patients.
    • Knowledge of emergency nursing best practices and triage methodologies.
    Certifications
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
    2. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
    3. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
