JOB SUMMARY Seeking a skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to join our Special Procedures team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of interventional radiology procedures and equipment, with a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, critical thinking, and patient care.
Key Responsibilities - Assist physicians in performing a variety of interventional radiology procedures. - Operate and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment, including the Philips IR table. - Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety. - Monitor patient vital signs during procedures. - Administer contrast media as directed. - Maintain accurate patient documentation in Meditech. - Ensure sterile technique is maintained throughout procedures. - Clean and stock procedure rooms. - Respond to emergency situations as needed. - Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as safety and infection control standards.
Experience - Experience in Interventional Radiology procedures - Experience with Y90, Prostate Embolism, Tunneled Catheter, Thoracentesis, and Paracentesis procedures
Certifications - ARRT - BLS - ACLS
Skills - Proficient in operating Philips IR table - Strong understanding of sterile technique - Excellent patient care and communication skills - Ability to work effectively in a team environment - Ability to adapt to a fast-paced unit - Ability to function independently
