    JOB SUMMARY
    The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, provide support for other imaging technologists as needed, and facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. This role involves troubleshooting basic maintenance, participating in quality assurance, and resolving issues related to image processing and archiving systems. The technologist will also participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advancements within their scope of licensure and maintain expected imaging competencies. Behavioral and communication skills must align with the organization's mission, values, and culture.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Performs imaging examinations and procedures to assist in patient throughput within the scope of departmental competencies.
    • Ensures completed exams are correctly scanned and stored in PACS.
    • Follows PACS downtime procedures and escalates problems or issues to the PACS administrator or designee as needed.
    • Troubleshoots and reports equipment malfunctions to management and/or biomedical personnel, performing appropriate follow-up.
    • Adapts assigned patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and developmental needs of each patient.
    • Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care as deemed appropriate by State and Federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities.
    • Demonstrates adherence to the Core Values of the organization.
    • Adheres to administrative and departmental policies regarding behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability.
    • Collaborates with management, coworkers, and physicians to create an optimal work environment.
    • Provides assistance to radiologists and referring physicians.
    • Protects patient confidentiality and does not disclose confidential information unless necessary for job duties.

    Schedule / Shift
    • Friday - Sunday: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

    Required Qualifications
    • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or accepted equivalent.
    • Current BLS certification (AHA only).
    • State Licensure as required.

    Experience
    • 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
    • Basic computer experience is required.

    Certifications
    • One of the following primary modality certifications is required: Radiography (R) by ARRT or Nuclear Medicine Technology by ARRT or NMTCB.
    • Computed Tomography (CT) by ARRT or NMTCB is required within 1 year of hire.

    Unit / Specialty
    • FSED (Freestanding Emergency Department) patients.
    • Imaging is for walk-in patients only.
    • No ambulance arrivals.
    • Responsibilities include X-ray and CT.
    • No needle procedures or fluoroscopy.

    Skills
    • Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance.
    • Proficiency in image processing and archiving systems.
    • Familiarity with PACS.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and departmental demands.
