Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – NTICU to provide specialized care for patients in the Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, demonstrate expertise in neuro-trauma management, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with neuro-trauma and critical conditions.
- Monitor and assess patient status, including neurological and hemodynamic parameters.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced interventions as prescribed.
- Operate and manage specialized equipment used in intensive care settings.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and adapt to rapidly changing patient conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care or ICU experience.
- Strong knowledge of neuro-trauma patient care and critical care protocols.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Prior experience in NTICU or Neuro ICU settings.
- Advanced training in neuro-trauma or critical care nursing.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as EPIC or Meditech.
Certifications (if any)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required.
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) – preferred.
- Neuro-specific certifications (such as CNRN) – preferred but not mandatory.
