JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides direct and compassionate care to patients in a clinical setting, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal recovery. This role requires clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered nursing care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
 - Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes with appropriate interventions.
 - Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed.
 - Document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes accurately.
 - Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
 - Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
 - Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
 
Required Qualifications
- 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience.
 - Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
 - Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided).
 - Basic Life Support (BLS).
 - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
 - Two (2) years of recent ICU nursing experience preferred.
 - NIH Stroke Scale Certificate.
 - CCRN preferred.
 - Dialysis, SLED or equivalent preferred.
 
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
 - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
 - NIH Stroke Scale Certificate.
 - CCRN (preferred).
