Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (Emergency Room) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, acute care environment. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, implementing care plans, administering treatments, and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective emergency care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room in accordance with established nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs in urgent and emergent situations.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately.
- Monitor patient progress, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe patient care environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, team-oriented environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in emergency room or trauma nursing.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
- Experience in patient education and discharge planning.
Certifications (if any)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is a plus.
