  • JOB SUMMARY
    The CT Tech performs diagnostic imaging examinations utilizing CT scanners and general radiology equipment as directed.

    Key Responsibilities
    - Perform diagnostic CT and X-ray examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
    - Operate CT scanners and general radiology equipment safely and effectively.
    - Position patients correctly to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
    - Prepare and administer contrast media as required and per protocol.
    - Ensure proper patient identification and verification of procedures.
    - Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
    - Document patient care activities and examination findings accurately in the electronic medical record.
    - Adhere to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles.
    - Clean and maintain imaging equipment and work areas.
    - Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

    Schedule / Shift
    - Three 12-hour shifts per week.
    - Holiday requirements apply.
    - Potential to rotate to other shifts or facilities based upon staffing needs.

    Required Qualifications
    - General radiology technologist experience.
    - CT experience.

    Certifications
    - ARRT(R)(CT)
    - SCRQSA
    - BLS

    Experience
    - Experience performing diagnostic X-Ray exams.
    - Experience performing diagnostic CT exams.

    Skills
    - Proficiency in operating GE Revolution Maxima CT.
    - Proficiency in operating GE Tempo RAD unit.
