  • Position Overview
    The Cardiology Department is seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to support outpatient clinical operations across multiple Client Medical Office Building sites. This role involves direct patient care, triage, and procedure support within a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate has an acute care background and cardiology experience.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide nursing care and patient assessment within the cardiology clinic setting.
    2. Conduct patient triage via telephone and email encounters.
    3. Insert intravenous (IV) lines and administer IV medications in the clinic.
    4. Serve as the designated “patient in distress” responder for the building as needed.
    5. Assist with or provide cross-coverage for cardiac stress testing activities.
    6. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
    7. Travel between assigned Client locations (Viewridge, San Marcos, SDMC) as scheduled.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    2. Acute care nursing background.
    3. Strong IV insertion and IV medication administration skills.
    4. Proficiency in patient triage and clinical decision-making.
    5. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
    6. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient assessment skills.
    7. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Previous cardiology experience.
    2. Experience supporting outpatient clinic operations across multiple sites.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
    2. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred).
