  • Job Summary
    The Medical Lab Tech is responsible for performing laboratory testing and analysis in support of patient care. 
    This role requires experience in Blood Bank/Transfusion Services and adherence to clinical and regulatory standards. 
    The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, certified, and capable of working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform laboratory testing and analysis with a focus on Blood Bank/Transfusion Services.
    • Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through proper specimen handling and processing.
    • Maintain compliance with laboratory protocols and safety standards.
    • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment as required.
    • Document and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

    Required Qualifications
    Education
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Completion of a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) training program approved or accredited by ABHES, CAHEA, or another organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

    Experience
    • Prior experience in Blood Bank/Transfusion Services.

    Certifications
    • ASCP Certification – Required
    • BLS Certification (AHA only) – Required
    • ASCP Certification (must be submitted with application).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (must be submitted with application).
