  • JOB SUMMARY
    We are seeking dependable and customer-focused Food Service Workers to support patient dining services. This role ensures patients receive quality meal service while maintaining dietary compliance, sanitation standards, and excellent customer care. Food Service team members deliver meals directly to the bedside and manage patient dining needs, including meal selection, service, and retrieval. Team members serve food and beverages according to prescribed diets and communicate patient concerns to the clinical dietitian.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assist patients with daily menu selections.
    • Prepare, assemble, and deliver patient meal trays and snacks.
    • Calculate and modify diets, fluid restrictions, and calorie counts.
    • Stock nursing unit pantries with patient food.
    • Perform kitchen duties including sanitation, set-up, and temperature logging.
    • Use automated tablets to record and transfer meal selections to the main system.

    Required Qualifications
    • Technical, trade, or vocational training in a related field preferred; OR minimum 2 years of relevant food service, dietary aide, hospital food service, or kitchen experience.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to understand and apply basic diet and nutrition information.
    • Comfortable working in a healthcare environment.
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Hospital food service experience.
    • Dietary aide background.
    • Patient meal service expertise.
    • Healthcare kitchen operations knowledge.
    • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices.
