  • Job Summary
    The CT Technician is responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The technician ensures the safe operation of CT equipment, provides high-quality imaging, and maintains patient care and comfort throughout the procedure.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Operate CT scanning equipment to obtain diagnostic images as requested by physicians.
    2. Prepare patients for CT procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
    3. Position patients correctly to ensure accurate imaging and minimize exposure to radiation.
    4. Monitor patients during the scan and maintain patient safety and comfort.
    5. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging needs.
    6. Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment, ensuring it is clean, functional, and calibrated.
    7. Document patient information, scan details, and maintain accurate records.
    8. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards, including radiation safety.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or related field.
    2. Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent).
    3. State licensure to perform CT scans (if applicable).
    4. Proven experience operating CT scanning equipment.
    5. Strong understanding of radiation safety principles.
    6. Excellent patient care and communication skills.
    7. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Certification in CT Imaging (ARRT-CT or equivalent).
    2. Experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
    3. Additional training in advanced imaging techniques.

    Certifications
    1. Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
    2. CT Certification (preferred).
