JOB SUMMARY Provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering medications, assisting with labor and delivery, and educating patients and families.
Key Responsibilities • Assess patient needs and develop a plan of care. • Monitor vital signs and patient progress during labor and delivery. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. • Provide education and support to patients and their families. • Assist physicians with procedures and deliveries. • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly. • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Schedule / Shift Night Shift
Required Qualifications • Valid RN License in Illinois. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Experience • Minimum of 1-2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
Skills • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) charting.
