JOB SUMMARY Provide diagnostic imaging services using radiologic equipment in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
Key Responsibilities - Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images of the body. - Position patients correctly to obtain optimal diagnostic images. - Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures. - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. - Perform quality control checks on equipment. - Adhere to radiation safety standards and protocols.
Schedule / Shift - To be determined based on facility needs.
Required Qualifications - Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. - Current certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). - State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, where applicable. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience - Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist is preferred.
Skills - Proficiency in operating various radiologic imaging equipment. - Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. - Strong understanding of radiation protection principles. - Excellent patient care and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications - ARRT (R) - BLS
EMR / Systems - Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is beneficial.
Patient Population - Adult patients.
Unit / Specialty - General Radiology.
Floating / On-Call - May be required to float to different departments as needed. - On-call duties may be assigned as per facility scheduling requirements.
