Job Summary

PACU RN needed with 2+ years of recent PACU experience. Experience with higher-acuity postoperative patients is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care for surgical patients.
• Care for Thoracic, Orthopedic, Neurology, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery cases.
• Monitor higher-acuity patients and collaborate with the Charge Nurse and Supervisor.
• Document patient care using Cerner.
  

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent PACU experience.
• AHA BLS and ACLS required.
• NIHSS Certification required.
• Cerner experience required.
• No local candidates within 50 miles.
  

Certifications

• AHA BLS – Basic Life Support
• AHA ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
• NIHSS – National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
  

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM–10:30 PM
• Unit operates 24/7; holiday coverage is provided through call.
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).
