Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes throughout the perioperative process.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures
- Assist physicians with endoscopy procedures, including preparation and monitoring of patients
- Administer medications and sedation as prescribed
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes promptly
- Educate patients and families on procedure preparation, recovery, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience, preferably in perioperative or endoscopy settings
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in endoscopy or gastroenterology nursing
- Knowledge of sedation protocols and patient monitoring during procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Certifications (if any)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred)
- Certification in Gastroenterology Nursing (CGRN) (preferred)
