  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our outpatient pharmacy team. This role supports pharmacists in processing prescriptions, preparing medications, and ensuring safe and accurate medication dispensing. The position offers a temp-to-hire opportunity for local candidates committed to advancing their pharmacy technician certification.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Prescription Processing
    2. Receive and review prescriptions from patients and healthcare providers.
    3. Accurately enter prescription data into pharmacy systems.
    4. Prepare prescription labels and verify patient information for accuracy.
    5. Medication Dispensing
    6. Assist pharmacists with selecting, measuring, and labeling medications.
    7. Prepare unit doses, compound medications, and mix intravenous (IV) drugs as needed.
    8. Dispense medications to patients and provide clear instructions for use.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Minimum of 2 years experience in an outpatient pharmacy setting.
    2. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required within 6 months of starting the assignment.
    3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription processing.
    4. Ability to work 8.5-hour shifts as scheduled.

    .Preferred Qualifications
    1. PTCB or CPHT certification highly preferred (must obtain CPHT within 6 months).
    2. Experience with prescription processing software and pharmacy systems.

    Certifications
    1. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required within 6 months of hire.
