JOB SUMMARY
Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on an outpatient basis for breast imaging according to established protocols.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate ultrasound equipment to acquire diagnostic images of the breast utilizing established protocols.
- Recognize and document normal and abnormal findings for interpretation by a physician.
- Perform a full range of ultrasound procedures for breast imaging.
- Maintain patient comfort and privacy throughout the examination.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and quality control standards.

Schedule / Shift
- Outpatient setting.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.

Certifications
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Breast Ultrasound (BR).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience
- Previous experience in outpatient breast imaging is preferred.

Skills
- Proficient in ultrasound imaging techniques for breast diagnostics.
- Knowledge of breast anatomy and pathology.
- Ability to operate and maintain ultrasound equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

EMR / Systems
- Experience with PACS and RIS systems is generally required.
