Job Summary:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery in a rehabilitation setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to help patients regain independence and functional abilities
• Deliver patient-centered care with a focus on restoring mobility, managing pain, and achieving long-term recovery goals
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for rehabilitation patients
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Assist patients with mobility, daily living activities, and rehabilitation exercises
• Educate patients and families on recovery expectations and home care strategies
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient’s medical record
• Promote a safe and supportive environment that encourages healing and patient empowerment
• Respond to changes in patient condition and take appropriate actions
• Adhere to rehabilitation nursing best practices and safety protocols
Required Qualifications:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a rehabilitation or inpatient care setting
• Experience with patient mobility devices, wound care, and post-surgical recovery
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
Certifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) License – Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Preferred (if applicable)
