  • Job Summary
    The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic laboratory tests to aid in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality, working in a fast-paced environment that supports patient care through accurate laboratory results.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Perform clinical laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
    2. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment; troubleshoot and report issues as needed.
    3. Follow written protocols for sample handling, analysis, and documentation.
    4. Review and validate test results for accuracy before reporting.
    5. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
    6. Adhere to safety and quality assurance protocols at all times.
    7. Communicate effectively with supervisors and other healthcare professionals regarding test results, unusual findings, or issues.
    8. Collaborate as part of a team to support daily lab operations and workflow.

    Required Qualifications
    Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, or Laboratory Sciences.

    Licenses and Certifications:
    1. Medical Technologist (ASCP) certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) is required.

    Experience:
    1. Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience in a clinical setting.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Experience working in a hospital or acute care laboratory setting.
    2. Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and automated analyzers.

    Certifications
    1. Required: Medical Technologist (ASCP)
