JOB SUMMARY Provides direct and indirect patient care services or treatments that have been prescribed by a licensed practitioner. Assists the surgical team by performing a variety of tasks related to the operative procedure.
Key Responsibilities • Prepare the operating room for surgery by gathering necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments. • Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment. • Assist surgeons and surgical teams by handing instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures. • Maintain a sterile environment throughout the surgical procedure. • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide assistance as required. • Clean and disinfect the operating room after procedures.
Schedule / Shift Schedule and shift information to be determined.
Required Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED. • Successful completion of a recognized Surgical Technology program.
Certifications • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience • Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist in an inpatient surgical setting is preferred.
Skills • Proficiency in sterile technique and universal precautions. • Knowledge of surgical procedures and instruments. • Ability to work effectively as part of a surgical team. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
