JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to provide care for geriatric patients in a psychiatric setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing mental health conditions in older adults, ensuring safety, dignity, and therapeutic support in a structured environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care to geriatric patients with psychiatric conditions.
- Monitor and assess mental and physical health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
- Document patient care accurately and timely.
- Respond to behavioral health emergencies and implement de-escalation techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license.
- Experience in psychiatric and geriatric nursing.
- Strong communication and crisis intervention skills.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with behavioral health protocols and safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in long-term care or inpatient psychiatric units.
- Training in geriatric mental health or dementia care.
Certifications
BLS certification (AHA).
