Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in Endoscopy for a contract assignment in Boston, MA. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, encompassing pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery. This role demands clinical expertise, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, including assessment and stabilization of vital signs.
- Establish IV access and administer necessary pre-procedure medications.
- Assist the endoscopy team during procedures, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and patient safety standards.
- Monitor and support patients during the post-operative phase, providing guidance for at-home care.
- Adhere to strict infection control procedures at every stage of patient care.
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts (or compact state with MA eligibility).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Completion of the full COVID-19 vaccination series, including booster.
Preferred Qualifications- Prior experience in endoscopy, gastroenterology, or procedural nursing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively support patients and families.
