JOB SUMMARY Seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide rehabilitative services to patients under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
Key Responsibilities - Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist. - Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and therapeutic activities. - Monitor patient progress and report changes to the Physical Therapist. - Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and safety precautions. - Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation. - Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Schedule / Shift - Availability for Monday - Wednesday shifts through the end of July. - Potential for Monday - Friday shifts thereafter.
Required Qualifications - Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. - Active Kansas Physical Therapist Assistant license. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience - Experience working with diverse patient populations.
Skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. - Proficient in providing therapeutic interventions. - Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
EMR / Systems - Cerner OneChart
Unit / Specialty - General rehabilitation services.
Patient Population - Adult and geriatric patients requiring physical therapy.
Floating / On-Call - Willingness to float between units or assist as needed.
