Job Summary
The Flu Clinic LVN/LPN provides direct patient care in a per diem capacity, supporting seasonal flu vaccination programs. This role ensures safe administration of vaccines, patient education, and adherence to clinical protocols while maintaining a professional and compassionate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer flu vaccines safely and effectively to patients of all age groups
- Perform patient assessments including screening for allergies and contraindications
- Educate patients on flu vaccine benefits, side effects, and post-care instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation in patient records and vaccine logs
- Support infection control and safety protocols in the clinic setting
- Assist with clinic operations including patient flow and supply management
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure efficient clinic operations
Required Qualifications
- Active LVN/LPN license in state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in vaccine administration or outpatient clinical care
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work flexible per diem shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in flu clinics, immunization programs, or community health settings
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
