Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutrition support and education. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in both enteral and parenteral nutrition, conduct nutrition-focused physical exams, and ensure accurate malnutrition coding. This role requires independence, confidence, and the ability to collaborate across multiple care areas, including behavioral health and cardiac rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
- Perform malnutrition coding and NFPE (Nutrition Focused Physical Exam).
- Monitor and track patient calorie counts.
- Deliver occasional group nutrition classes focused on general healthy eating education.
- Provide nutrition support for patients requiring enteral and parenteral feeding.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition support.
- Proficiency in NFPE and malnutrition coding.
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- CNSC (Certified Nutrition Support Clinician) credentials.
- Prior experience in behavioral health or cardiac rehabilitation settings.
Certifications (if any)
- Registered Dietitian credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Active State Dietitian License.
