  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide both clinical and administrative support within a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will assist providers with patient care, ensure efficient clinic operations, and deliver exceptional service while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and healthcare regulations.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Assist physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers with patient examinations and clinical procedures.
    2. Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant health information.
    3. Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient visits.
    4. Administer medications, injections, vaccinations, and treatments as directed and within scope of practice.
    5. Perform specimen collection, processing, and basic laboratory procedures as required.
    6. Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-up care.
    7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
    8. Educate patients regarding medications, treatment plans, and preventive health measures.
    9. Ensure exam rooms and clinical areas are clean, stocked, and compliant with infection control standards.
    10. Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare team members.

    Required Qualifications
    1. High School Diploma or GED required.
    2. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
    3. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care practices.
    4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    5. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
    6. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer applications.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a physician office, clinic, hospital, or ambulatory care setting.
    • Experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms.
    • Knowledge of laboratory specimen collection and processing.
    • Bilingual skills are a plus.

    Certifications
    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required based on facility policy.
