Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care. The PTA will assist patients in improving mobility, strength, and overall physical function through prescribed treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement treatment programs designed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities
- Monitor patient progress and report updates to the Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and families on proper techniques for exercises and home programs
- Ensure patient safety during therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with therapists, patients, and families
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in outpatient, inpatient, or rehabilitation settings
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
