JOB TITLE: CVOR Tech

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CVOR Tech to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of aseptic technique and experience assisting in a variety of cardiac and vascular surgical procedures, as well as general surgery cases.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile surgical field and instruments for cardiac and vascular surgical procedures.
- Assist the surgical team by anticipating needs and providing essential instruments and supplies during procedures.
- Perform duties with a strong emphasis on aseptic technique to prevent contamination.
- Manage and maintain surgical case carts, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
- Operate and troubleshoot robotic surgical systems, including the XI Robotics system.
- Assist in managing the crash cart and ensuring its readiness for emergent situations.

Schedule / Shift
- 3 or 4 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Day/Evening shifts: 0630-1830 and 1100-2330

On Call / Weekend Requirement
- 6 calls per 6-week schedule
- 1 weekend shift and/or 1 holiday per 6-week schedule

Float Requirement
- If there are no cardiac cases, the technician may be required to float to general surgery.

Required Qualifications
- BLS Certification

Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVOR setting.
- Experience with aseptic technique.
- Experience with case cart management.
- Experience in cardiac and vascular surgical cases.
- Experience with crash cart management.
- XI Robotics experience.
- Experience assisting in general surgery cases.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the following surgical specialties: Orthopedics, Ortho/Spine, Ortho/Joints, Urology, Endoscopy, Thoracic, Neurology, Gynecology, Neuro/Spine, Bariatrics, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, and Transplant cases.
- Completion of at least one prior travel assignment.
