Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) licensed in Wisconsin to provide exceptional nursing care in the Orthopedics and Neurology unit. This role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care, adherence to hospital policies, and participation in performance improvement activities. Candidates must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and flu.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to care for patients.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, hospital policies, standards of care, and state laws.
- Document patient care activities in compliance with standards of care.
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians and hospital policies, including patient and family education.
- Participate in departmental or unit performance improvement initiatives, including shared governance activities.
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient’s ongoing care plan.
- Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and positive patient experiences, escalating issues through the appropriate chain of command.
- May be required to float to other units as a travel RN.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin.
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and seasonal flu.
- Willingness and ability to work 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM), including every other weekend and holidays.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
