Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support physicians and healthcare staff in delivering high-quality patient care. The Medical Assistant will perform both administrative and clinical tasks to ensure efficient operations within the healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Record patient history, vital signs, and other relevant information.
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
- Administer basic laboratory tests and collect specimens.
- Manage scheduling, patient records, and appointment coordination.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Prior experience working in a healthcare or clinical setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual proficiency for patient communication.
Certifications (if any)
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
