  • Job Summary
    We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ICU RN will be responsible for delivering high-acuity patient care, monitoring critical conditions, and responding rapidly to life-threatening situations. This role demands advanced clinical skills, sound judgment, and a calm, focused approach under pressure.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide direct and continuous nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
    2. Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition promptly.
    3. Administer medications, treatments, and life support measures in accordance with physician orders and ICU protocols.
    4. Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment (e.g., ventilators, cardiac monitors).
    5. Collaborate closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
    6. Document all nursing care accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records.
    7. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
    8. Adhere to infection control standards and ICU-specific safety practices.
    9. Participate in emergency codes, rapid response interventions, and resuscitation efforts as needed.
    10. Maintain a high level of alertness, prioritization, and clinical readiness at all times.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
    2. Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    3. Minimum of 1–2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience.
    4. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
    5. Ability to remain calm and act quickly during emergencies.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    2. Experience with electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
    3. ACLS and PALS certifications.

    Certifications
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
    2. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required
    3. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) – preferred
