  • Job Summary  
    The Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions. This role involves assessing patient conditions, implementing evidence-based care plans, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a high-acuity environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Assess, monitor, and evaluate critically ill patients in the ICU
    2. Administer medications, treatments, and advanced life support interventions as prescribed
    3. Operate and monitor specialized equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors
    4. Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records
    5. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
    6. Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
    7. Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies
    8. Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in patient condition

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current RN license (state-specific or compact license)
    2. Minimum of 2 year of acute care nursing experience, preferably in ICU or critical care settings
    3. Strong knowledge of critical care nursing practices and protocols
    4. Ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments
    5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
    2. Prior experience in Level 1 trauma or tertiary care centers

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA required
    2. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
    3. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred

    Education
    1. Associate Degree in Nursing (Required)
    2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Preferred)
